Nike Cortez Sale
In addition to the Fly Motion Cortez in the Forrest Gump colorway, Nike has just released this Nike Cortez Men Leather in the same White, Red, and Blue colorway. The biggest difference between the two shoes is the silhouette and innovation, with this pair using the Classic Cortez silhouette, notice the name, and the Fly Motion using an updated silhouette of the Cortez that also features Flywire and Nike Free.
Even if you don’t own a pair of the Nike Cortez Women, you already recognize the shoe as one of the originals that build the Nike foundation. The Cortez dates back to the 70’s (you might remember Forrest Gump beating his pair to the ground – the same pair given to him by Jenny), but this 1988 reissue features a colorway that drew inspiration from another big Nike release of that year – the Air Jordan III. Here’s a look at this rare Nike Cortez Classic AC in black leather, featuring elephant print on the swoosh and heel-tab. The midsole features a grey stripe on the rear heel and red print on the Nike branding on the tongue.
The ‘Asia City Pack’ Quickstrikes were exclusive to the other side of the world, so when news came and went regarding this quartet of Nike Cortez UK, it seemed safe to expect a similar fate. Here’s more evidence to support that conclusion, as a Japanese retailer shows off new shots of the ‘Aloha Print’ floral Cortez foursome. These nylon Cortez lowtops add suede trim to balance out the graphic uppers, and they’re slated to release this Saturday, May 18th.
It looks like Kendrick’s shout out of the Nike Cortez Sale only furthered the demand for the classic sneaker as we see it get hit with the NSW treatment with a trio of premium quilted uppers in some autumn ready colorways. Arriving in a surprising quickstrike release, the shoe appears in a predominantly nylon construction in a black, squadron blue, and cargo khaki while leather rounds out each toebox. Each pair sports khaki suede Swooshes above the diamond patterned stitched nylon side panels that gives it a luxurious feel.
