Wright’s absence. Though Calitro and Mingo filled the role nicely, Kendricks does provide the Seahawks with an improvement at WILL linebacker and he should keep his starting spot, health permitting. However, on Tuesday morning, Pete Carroll said Kendricks hurt his knee against Minnesota and his status moving forward is unclear.Jaron Brown boosted in Doug Baldwin’s absenceFor the short time when the Seahawks had all wide receivers healthy and available, Malik Turner began to encroach on Jaron Brown’s playing time as the fourth wide receiver. That was quieted last week, with Brown hauling in two scores. Against the Vikings, with Baldwin sidelined, the hierarchy was again clear, with Brown getting the biggest boost. Turner remained in his very limited role, seeing just 11% of the offense’s snaps, while Brown stepped into the third wide receiver spot, playing 65% of snaps. As long as Baldwin remains sidelined, we can expect it to be Tyler Lockett and David Moore playing the bulk of snaps, with Brown as the third receiver in. Delano Hill, three safeties step backSeattle’s use of three safeties has been interesting to follow in recent weeks, with Hill’s playtime increasing in each of the past three games, including playing nearly half the defense’s snaps in Week 13. It’s an interesting wrinkle, but seems to be completely matchup dependent.
