TRIPOLI DeMarre Carroll Jersey , Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- The UN-backed new Libyan government of national accord will be announced in a few hours, media reports said.


Libya's presidential council, which was formed under the UN-sponsored peace agreement, will name the new government as dictated by the parliament, the House of Representatives.


The new government would be presented to the parliament for approval on Monday.


Libya suffers a political division with two rival parliaments and governments battling for legitimacy. The United Nations has sponsored a series of political dialogues that led to a peace agreement in Morocco between the political rivals in December Sean Kilpatrick Jersey , 2015.


A government was then named on Jan. 19 which is composed of a prime minister, four deputy prime ministers and 32 ministries. However, the government was rejected by both rival parliaments and factions.
