The Arizona Cardinals have announced that they will be making an announcement tomorrow.
Via Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic Joe Montana Jersey , the Cardinals will hold a “major” press conference on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. local time.
The obvious speculation is that the Cardinals will be unveiling a new contract with running back David Johnson. If that’s the case, no one has leaked anything to anyone who spends their time trying to find things out in the minutes and hours before those things are officially disclosed to the world.
Johnson is entering the final year of his rookie contract. His 2017 season ended up being lost, thanks to a wrist injury suffered in Week One against the Lions.
The former third-round pick didn’t hold out in an effort to get a new deal Joshua Garnett Jersey , and recent reports suggested that a new contract before the start of the regular season is unlikely.
Maybe with the money dished out in recent days to the likes of Odell Beckham, Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Donald Devonta Freeman Jersey , and Khalil Mack, Johnson’s demands suddenly didn’t seem so unreasonable to the Cardinals.
The New York Jets have re-signed tackle Ben Ijalana, who has been a backup with the team.
Ijalana has been a versatile offensive lineman since the Jets signed him off waivers from Indianapolis at the start of the 2013 season. He played in only three games from 2013-15 Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Jersey , then was needed more in 2016, playing in all 16 games for the first time as a pro and starting 13. The first five starts came at right tackle and the last eight at left tackle.
Ijalana didn't play as much last season, getting in 11 games and 56 offensive snaps Derek Rivers Jersey , plus 42 more on special teams. His most extensive participation came with 41 snaps in the season finale at New England.
He was the Colts' second-round pick (49th overall) in the 2011 draft.
