MEMPHIS, Tenn. Cheap Browns Jerseys . -- Washingtons Bradley Beal seemed to make every shot he took in setting a career high with 37 points. But then, with the game on the line, he struggled down the stretch. Nick Calathes and Marc Gasol scored 18 points each, and the Memphis Grizzlies survived Beals big night to defeat the Wizards 92-89 on Tuesday night. Beal finished the night converting 15 of 24 shots, but was unable to connect in the closing minutes. He missed five of his last six shots, including a 21-footer with 12.9 seconds left that would have tied the game. "The past few games, I was too worried about my defender," Beal said. "As soon as I saw the first couple go in, it was a wrap after that. My confidence was high, and I just kept shooting the ball the same way every time. "I was having fun." Zach Randolph split two free throws with 11.5 seconds left to give the Grizzlies the 92-89 lead. John Walls 3-pointer for the tie with about 1 second left rattled around before popping out, giving Memphis the win. "We were supposed to hand it back to John," Wizards coach Randy Wittman said of the final play. "Bradley was going to flare for a three, but we didnt get the hand off back to John." Randolph, Courtney Lee and James Johnson scored 13 apiece for Memphis, and Randolph grabbed 10 rebounds. Calathes, who started his sixth straight game because of an ankle injury to starting point guard Mike Conley, also had six assists for the Grizzlies. "Nick Calathes is playing great," Memphis coach Dave Joerger said. "He makes some mistakes, but I have the ball in his hands and 98 per cent of the time, he makes the right play and the right pass. What hes doing right now in leading this ballclub is absolutely tremendous." Nene had 17 points for the Wizards, while Trevor Ariza and Marcin Gortat added 10 points each. Wall, who entered the game averaging a team-best 20.1 points, was limited to a season-low five points, making only 2 of 10 shots, missing all four attempts from outside the arc. "Its terrible that you waste a game like that from (them)," Wittman said of Beal and Nene, particularly citing Nene holding Randolph to 4 of 11 shooting and forcing the Grizzlies forward into five turnovers. "As well as Nene was playing Zach Randolph in the post, its too bad you waste efforts like that." Memphis pushed the lead to 16 near the 9-minute mark of the third quarter on a 3-pointer from Tayshaun Prince. But Washington, with Beal continuing to score and Gortat contributing 10 in the quarter, went on a 20-8 burst to make a serious dent in the Memphis margin. "Obviously, Bradley Beal hits a lot of great shots," Joerger said. "Courtney (Lee) trailed him and bothered him. James (Johnson) trailed him and bothered him. The guy made tough shots." By the end of the third, Memphis had added a few points to its remaining lead carrying a 79-70 lead into the fourth. The Wizards were able to pull even at 80 with 6:52 left when Beals 14-footer, pushed him past his previous career high of 34. Beal was the major part of the 12-1 Wizards run to give them an 82-80 lead on Nenes 17-footer with 5:46 left. Memphis answered with a 7-2 mini-run to put the Grizzlies up for good, although each team made mistakes in the closing minutes. "We kept the ball on one side, and they just loaded up," Gasol said of Washingtons second-half defence. "We would average two, three passes and played too far away from the basket. We let them do what they wanted to do defensively and made it easy on them. "But we got away with a win." NOTES: Conley missed his sixth straight game with a bum right ankle. The Grizzlies are now 3-3 since his injury. ... Beals previous high was 34 points against Oklahoma City on Nov. 10. ... The teams all-time leading scorer, DeRo has won everything there is to win in MLS.SAINTE-JULIE, Que. -- Bernhard Langers golf ball control made the difference on another blustery day at the Montreal Championship. Langer shot a 5-under 67 on Saturday to take the second-round lead at the US$1.6 million Champions Tour event at Vallee du Richelieu. Langer, who is second to points leader Kenny Perry in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, had a bogey-free round on the challenging Rouville course. "I hit a lot of fairways today which helps me control my distance with my irons," Langer said. "Its a lot easier from the fairway than from the rough. I putted pretty nicely, too. I had a lot of speed on my putts, gave myself a lot of chances with the putts. I was a bit unlucky on some occasions but overall I was very pleased." The two-time Masters champion finished with five birdies to move to 6-under 138 through 36 holes after opening with a 71. "I played pretty good (Friday) but made too many bogeys. I made three bogeys otherwise it would have been a great round as well." With gusts up to 50 kilometres-per-hour Friday the wind tailed off only slightly for the second round with cool conditions and a bit of rain in the mix. "There was a little bit of stretch in the middle where it seemed like there were 10 to 15, 20 mile-per-hour (15-30 km/h) winds," Langer said. "Today at the end it felt very similar the last few holes. I probably hit two of the best 6-irons I could ever hit. It was at least a two-club wind." Perry birdied two of his first five holes but bogeyed the eighth and played par the rest of the way to finish with a 1-under 71 after finishing alone in second on Friday with a 70. "I made 10 pars starting from 10 through 18 so I really never could get anything going," Perry said. "It was pretty blustery out there, tough conditions. Bernhard played a beautiful round of golf to shoot a 67. I couldnt make it happen today but Im still in the golf tournament." Perry is in a five-way tie for second at 3-under 141. Cheap Duke Johnson Jr Jersey. "If he shoots even par and I shoot 4-under Ill win the golf tournament," Perry said. "So he needs to play a good round of golf and I need to play a great round of golf, and if he plays a really good round of golf nobodys going to catch him." He has 2,619 points to Langers 1,830 in competition for the Charles Schwab Cup. "My two wins this year have been from behind so I kind of like being the chaser and not the guy being chased so hopefully we can get out there (Sunday) and get off to a good start and battle him down to the end," Perry said. "But there are still a lot of guys at 3-under," he added. "One of those guys, if they shoot a great round, they could still win the golf tournament, too. Its not just between me and him. Theres probably a handful of players that can win this golf tournament." Willie Wood and Chien Soon Lu each shot 4-under 68 for a share of second at 3 under through 36 holes along with Perry, Bill Glasson and Anders Forsbrand. Rocco Mediate was also among the eight golfers to shoot 4 under or better Saturday after Dick Masts 3-under 69 on Friday was good enough for the outright lead through a blustery first round. Mediate, who cruised to his second Champions Tour win last weekend in Calgary, shot a 68 to move to 1 under. He shot five birdies but closed out with his only bogey of the day after opening with a 75 on Friday. Rod Spittle of Niagara Falls, Ont., shot his second straight 72 to remain the top Canadian. He is one of eight players tied for 17th, including Mast, who shot a 75 to fall back into the pack one day after claiming his first outright lead in 165 Champions Tour starts. Victorias Jeff Rutledge is 6-over through two rounds after shooting a 74. Marc Girouard of Saint-Sauveur, Que., shot six bogeys and three double-bogeys and finished with an 81 to fall back to 15-over 159.
