Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsThe Philadelphia Eagles and Chris Long have agreed to push back the $1 million roster bonus he was set to receive today (Wednesday, May 1) until the first day veterans report for 2019 training camp, according to NFL insider Field Yates. This delay gives Long even more time to decide if he wants to retire or not.Long hasn’t totally closed the door shut on returning to the Eagles. But based on what he’s said recently, it seems like he’s leaning towards not coming back to Philly in 2019. Long told the Eagles to “plan like I won’t be back.” He also tweeted these things last week: Putting Long aside, the Eagles currently have Brandon Graham Cameron Johnston Jersey , Derek Barnett, Vinny Curry, Josh Sweat, Daeshon Hall, and Joe Ostman under contract at defensive end. The team also selected Penn State edge rusher Shareef Miller with a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Eagles could really afford to add Long to their current group of pass rushers but it sounds like they’re not offering him the role that Long desires. And so retirement seems like the more likely option, unless Long changes his mind. There’s always the possibility the Eagles could look to trade Long to a landing spot he’s comfortable with. But it’s unclear if that option is really in play.If they’re sure that Long won’t be back, the Eagles could look to sign another pass rusher in free agency. Ezekiel Ansah http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-paul-worrilow-jersey , for example, is still on the market and signing him after May 7 won’t impact Philadelphia’s compensatory pick formula. The first day that veterans report for Eagles training camp will be at some point in late July or early August. We’ll find out more about Long’s decision by then.UPDATE: Long tweeted some more stuff today. Good luck in Jacksonville, BDN."The Jacksonville Jaguars are signing free agent quarterback Nick Foles, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The contract is said to be worth $88 million over four years with just over $50 million guaranteed. The max value is reportedly worth $102 million!Foles to the Jags has been one of the league’s worst kept secret approaching NFL free agency. The Daily News and ESPN previously reported Foles was expected to sign with Jacksonville, who employ his former quarterback coach in John DeFilippo. Foles leaves Philadelphia as an absolute legend. We’ll always remember his heroics en route to becoming the first Super Bowl MVP in Eagles franchise history. He was truly a great backup to have behind Carson Wentz over the past two seasons. It’ll be interesting to see how Foles fares with the Jaguars. His first stint outside of Philly didn’t go so well. After being traded to the St. Louis Rams in 2015, Foles struggled and got benched for Case Keenum in November. The Rams cut Foles and he considered retirement before ultimately reuniting with Andy Reid in Kansas City as Alex Smith’s backup in 2016. Foles then came back to Philly in 2017 and, well Womens Richard Rodgers Jersey , you know the rest. It’s safe to say Philly will be rooting for Foles’ success down in Jacksonville. It helps that the Eagles aren’t set to play the Jaguars again until the 2022 NFL regular season. Foles signing a big contract with the Jags means the Eagles will potentially be receiving a third-round compensatory pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Thanks again, BDN.Meanwhile, the reaction over at Big Cat Country ...
