He said, per ESPN’s Eric Williams via Twitter, “No, I don’t think they played well at all. We dominated the game. Turnovers, we gave them some points and that’s what happened. They suck.”Now, it’s not terribly uncommon for a player to focus on how his team lost the game rather than how their opponent won it. That sort of take is mildly frowned upon, but it’s normal enough. Allen’s insistence that the Chargers “dominated the game” is a bit much, but it is also within the realm of what’s considered fair or reasonable to say. It’s that last line where I think he is going to lose people. Flat out saying that the Broncos “suck” is simply amazing.
